UV Self-Check Flame Detector
Selected variant: EN-BMS-00310
Made in United States
Solid-state electronic ultraviolet flame detector that senses the UV radiation emitted by the combustion of most carbon-containing fuels, such as natural gas, LP gases and oil. Used with a compatible burner management control, it provides continuous flame supervision on industrial burners. Dynamic self-check: a shutter tests the detector and the electronic components of the flame detection system 12 times per minute during burner operation and shuts the burner down if the system fails. This makes it suitable for burners that remain on continuously for 24 hours or longer. - Flame signal: 1.25 to 5 VDC on 7800 Series controls (minimum acceptable 1.25 VDC). - Field-replaceable UV sensing tube. - Quartz viewing window; 1 in NPT mounting. - IP66 enclosure; explosion-proof versions (Ex db IIC T6) for hazardous locations. - Approvals by model: CE (EN 298), UL, FM, ATEX, IECEx; SIL 3 capable in a properly designed safety instrumented system. - Shutter powered by the flame safeguard control; 200/220/240 VAC installations require a 120 VAC, 10 VA minimum step-down transformer for the shutter. The exact model (A or F version) and its matching flame amplifier are confirmed with the quote.
