Two-wire SmartLine STT850 temperature transmitter configured for a single universal input: 2-, 3- and 4-wire RTDs (Pt100, Pt200, Pt500, Pt1000, Ni120, Cu10), thermocouples (B, E, J, K, N, R, S, T, C), millivolt and ohm inputs. Output is 4-20 mA dc with HART 7 digital communication; loop wiring is polarity insensitive. Performance per the manufacturer's specification: digital accuracy up to ±0.10 °C with Pt100, output D/A accuracy ±0.005 % of span, stability 0.01 % of URL per year for ten years, 125 ms update time for single-input models, 2000 Vdc galvanic isolation between input and output, and sensor-break detection with selectable upscale or downscale burnout. This configuration: polyester powder-coated low-copper aluminum housing rated Type 4X / IP66 / IP67, 1/2 NPT entry, integral lightning protection, standard LCD display with internal zero, span and configuration buttons, standard diagnostics, high failsafe (>21.0 mA), custom configuration and custom calibrated range (see each variant), 1/2 NPT 316 SS certified conduit plug, calibration test report and certificate of conformance. No mounting bracket, no digital output. Approvals (code B, CSA Canada and USA): explosion proof Class I, Division 1, Groups A, B, C, D; dust ignition proof Class II and III, Division 1; intrinsically safe; nonincendive Class I, Division 2. HART versions are IEC 61508 certified SIL 2 (non-redundant) and SIL 3 (redundant). Ambient operating range -40 to 85 °C (-40 to 185 °F); HART supply 11.8 to 42.4 Vdc at terminals.
