The ASCO Series 8210 is a pilot operated, 2-way general service solenoid valve with brass or stainless steel body, in pipe sizes from 3/8 to 2-1/2 in NPT, normally closed (closed when de-energized) or normally open (open when de-energized). It covers air and inert gas, water and light oil at 300 SSU, with Cv flow factors from 1.5 to 45 and maximum operating pressure differentials up to 350 psi on air (AC), depending on catalog number; diaphragm and piston constructions are available. Wetted materials: brass or 304 stainless steel body (316L on selected catalog numbers), NBR or PTFE seals and discs, 305 stainless steel core tube, 430F stainless steel core and plugnut, 302 stainless steel springs. Standard RedHat II enclosure is watertight Types 1, 2, 3, 3S, 4 and 4X; explosionproof and watertight versions (Types 3, 3S, 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 7 and 9) are ordered with the EF prefix, and ATEX/IECEx versions with the EV prefix where listed. Standard voltages 24, 120, 240 and 480 V AC 60 Hz (110 and 220 V AC 50 Hz) and 6, 12, 24, 120 and 240 V DC, specified when ordering. UL listed as indicated and CSA certified. Nominal ambient temperature 32 to 125 °F (0 to 52 °C) for AC coils.
