The Honeywell XNX universal transmitter accepts input from Honeywell Analytics gas sensor technologies and provides a common interface for point flammable (catalytic and infrared), toxic and oxygen electrochemical, and open-path infrared detectors. Three personalities set its behaviour: mV for the MPD, Sensepoint HT, PPM and Model 705 sensors; EC for XNX toxic and oxygen cartridges, with an intrinsically safe interface that allows hot-swapping without a hot work permit; and IR for Searchline Excel open-path and Searchpoint Optima Plus point IR detectors.
A fully configurable 4-20 mA output with HART (sink, source or isolated) is standard. Options, mutually exclusive: relay module (2 alarm SPCO and 1 fault SPCO relays), Modbus RTU (isolated RS485) or FOUNDATION Fieldbus H1. An optional local intrinsically safe HART port is available. Configuration is done through the backlit multilingual LCD and non-intrusive magnetic switches.
