Flat power cable for electric submersible pumps, 5 kV, rated 450 °F (232 °C). Three plain annealed solid copper conductors laid side by side, each with extruded EPDM insulation (0.075 in nominal) and an extruded lead sheath (0.040 in nominal) as the barrier against well fluids and gas, under a thermo-mechanical bedding tape and a galvanized steel tape armour (0.020 in). Sizes #1, #2, #4 and #6 AWG; overall 1.73 × 0.63 in (#1) to 1.34 × 0.52 in (#6); approximate weight 2,050 to 1,243 lb per 1,000 ft. Maximum DC resistance at 25 °C 0.128 Ω/kft (#1) to 0.410 Ω/kft (#6); maximum leakage current 0.50 µA/kft/kV. Available with an integrated capillary tube. On request: polyamide film over the conductor, FEP jacket over the insulation, PTFE, nylon braid or glass tape bedding, stainless steel or Monel armour, and custom designs.
