The Rosemount 5300 guided wave radar level transmitter sends low power nanosecond microwave pulses down a probe and calculates total level and interface level from the reflections, with no compensation needed for changing density, conductivity, viscosity, pH, temperature or pressure. Models: 5301 for liquid level or interface (fully submerged probe), 5302 for liquid level and interface, and 5303 for solids level. Probe types include coaxial (3A), coaxial perforated (3B), large coaxial (3C), rigid single lead 8 mm (4A) and 13 mm (4B, segmented 4S), and flexible single lead with weight or chuck (5A/5B; 6A/6B for solids), with probe lengths up to 164 ft (50 m). Output is 4-20 mA HART, FOUNDATION Fieldbus or RS-485 Modbus, and WirelessHART with the 775 THUM Adapter. Reference accuracy is ±0.12 in (3 mm) or 0.03% of measured distance, whichever is greatest. Process seals from Standard (-40 to 302 °F, up to 754 psig) to High Temperature/High Pressure (up to 752 °F and 5000 psig) and Cryogenic. Safety certified to IEC 61508 for SIL 2 applications.
