The Fisher 299H Series are pilot-operated pressure reducing regulators with the pilot integrally mounted to the actuator casing. Constructions: Type 299H; Type 299HR with a token internal relief valve for minor overpressure caused by thermal expansion; Type 299HV with a Type VSX8 slam-shut valve for overpressure or overpressure and underpressure protection; and Type 299HVR, the 299HV with internal token relief. Body sizes NPS 1-1/4 and 1-1/2 (NPT) and NPS 2 / DN 50 (NPT, CL125 FF, CL150 RF, CL250 RF or PN 10/16 flanged) in cast iron, ductile iron or steel. Maximum operating inlet pressure 175 psig (12.1 bar) depending on orifice size; outlet (control) pressure from 3.5 in. w.c. up to 60 psig (4.1 bar) depending on pilot spring; maximum casing and emergency outlet pressure 66 psig (4.5 bar). Pressure control accuracy ±1% of absolute control pressure for fixed factor billing (PFM), with internal, external or dual pressure registration. Temperature capability -20 to 150 °F (-29 to 66 °C). Aluminum casings, nitrile diaphragms and O-rings with no gaskets, a two-bolt body connection, and a main valve disk and orifice that can be inspected without removing the body from the pipeline. Options include a pilot supply filter or filtered pilot supply regulator, a remote slam-shut notification reed switch and a travel indicator. Applications: natural gas distribution, gas supply to industrial boilers, furnaces, ovens and mixers, and plant air service.
